ESCAPE THE ORDINARY
The Alaska Ride provides an opportunity to escape the ordinary and ride 6-days, 450 miles, from Fairbanks to Anchorage while experiencing the vast natural wilderness that is the Alaskan landscape. The Alaska Ride fundraising concept also allows cyclists to escape the ordinary. The Alaska Ride gathers cyclists from all over the country in one ride, with each participant choosing the AIDS and HIV organization that will benefit from their fundraising effort.
The Alaska Ride will commence on Sunday, August 1, 2010 with a registration day in Fairbanks and culminate on Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Anchorage. The Alaska Ride is a fully supported event. This includes hot meals, showers, sleeping tents, and lunch along the route. Route support shall include rest stops, sweep assistance, and emergency medical transport as necessary. Additional services may include bike tech assistance, sports medicine, and entertainment, both in camp and along the route. Once The Alaska Ride begins, all you have to worry about is riding.
The Alaska Ride invites you to explore the website for more information about the event. The Alaska Ride will only accomodate 500 riders and 100 crew. Participants must be 18 years of age by August 1, 2010 to register. Please show your interest in The Alaska Ride today by joining our mailing list to receive valuable information and updates.
